SASIP - Stakeholders Dialogues

Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) held two stakeholders’ dialogues for the School Assessment for School Improvement Program (SASIP) in Lahore and Karachi on November 20th and 22nd 2012 respectively. The discussion panel at the stakeholders’ dialogue comprised of representatives from the government (planning and training), financial/micro-finance sector, teacher training institutes, media, educationists, teacher association, and principals/administrators of private and public schools being assessed under SASIP.

During the dialogues the following topics were discussed:

	Challenges faced by Affordable Private Schools (APS), Foundations Assisted Schools and some of the Public Sector Schools of Pakistan.
	Teaching Quality
	Need for Teacher Training and Licensing
	Quality of Learning Material
	Public-Private Partnership
	Benchmarking of Schools
	Technology Enabled Solutions, CSR & Youth Volunteerism
	Access to Finance
