•Muslims must rally around fellow citizens in the Christian community of Pakistan. Two positive demonstrations of solidarity are required, the sooner the better. An inter-faith memorial service should be held, preferably at Quaid’s Mazar. Donations to a rehabilitation fund are required, at least to match contributions by government. The fund is best managed by representatives chosen by the Christian community.

Many of us have been enriched by several years of education at Christian institutions, often through undeserved subsidies. It is a particular obligation of muslim alumni to lead these demonstrations of solidarity.

We urge the use of Zakat to provide for obligations towards people hurt badly by some muslims. Its self-serving sophistry to deny that some terrorists are muslims.
