The #EducationCountdown is officially launching on August 18, 2014 which will exactly be 500 days before the 2015 MDGs deadline is met.
As part of the post 2015 development agenda, these 500 days are extremely critical. We can all be a part of this global campaign through active advocacy and bringing about a change around us. If we can synchronize our efforts, the impact of our little actions can be huge.
During these 500 days, the Right to Education team at Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi has planned a number of activities/dialogues/sessions corresponding to the global themes (see below). Follow this space for updates on our events.

Day 500, August 18, 2014
Official Start of 500-Day Countdown. World Humanitarian Day and International Youth Day.
Day 500-400 - spotlight on Child Marriage/Girls
Mobilisation. International Day of the Child on October 11.
Day 400-300 - spotlight on Girls' Education
Mobilisation.
Culminates on International Womens' Day 2015.
Day 300-200 - spotlight on Child Labour
Mobilisation. Culminates on International Day Against Chold Labour.
Day 200-100 - spotlight on Country-Specific Results and Accountability
Mobilisation. Culminates during UN General Assembly 2015. Final push for 100 Days of Action.
Day 100-0
Culminates on January 1, 2016. Zero exclusion from education.
