ITA Pakistan and Aisha Foundation USA hosted a small ceremony to honor the esteemed guests from the “House of Charity”

ITA Pakistan and ITA Aisha Foundation hosted a small ceremony to honor the esteemed guests from the “House of Charity”, Mr. Ghulam Bombaywala, President PAGH, Ms. Hashmat Afandi, Mr. Tariq Aafandi from house of charity were accompanied by Dr Jeoff William who was invited here for the surgery of burnt children in Lahore. On the occasion, ITA team was awarded certificates of excellence by the honored guests Mr. Jamil Najam DPI (EE) and Mr. Rashid Bukhari chairperson Aisha Foundation presented certificates to ITA team.

In a cordial ceremony held in Lahore on Sunday July 24,2005, Federal Minister for Social Welfare and Special Education Ms. Zubaida Jalal presented shields of acknowledgement to Mr. and Mrs. Syed Rashid Bukhari and their promising daughter Mariam Bukhari for their long-established friendship with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi and their commitment and generous support to uplift the dilapidated public schools in Pakistan. The Federal Minister appreciated the efforts and dedication of Mr. Bukhari and his associates as expatriates Pakistanis in raising funds for the schools. She particularly appreciated Marium Bukhari as a young volunteer for her work in education both in USA and Pakistan as well as for the House of Charity and Aisha Foundation.

Falak Sher a student of class prep of ITA's adopted Ex-MCL Primary School Mustafabad # 2 had a congenital problem of cleft palate. He was picked up for his surgery by Hashmat Affandi Exective Director of House of Charity during her visit to that school last year. ITA health team did continuous follow up of this case and kept in touch with the doctors of Shalimar Hospital. This year in March 2005, Mr. Bukhari visited Pakistan with Mr. Ghulam Bombaywala from PAGH, Ms. Hashmat Afandi, Dr. Jeff William and other friends. Falak Sher was given priority as promised by Ms. Effendi and Dr. William. Falak Sher had to undergo a meticulous surgery and finally came up with a face without any deformity. Credit goes to Dr. Jeoff, Ms. Effendi, Mr. Bombaywala and of course Mr. Bukhari who is the one who has been mobilizing resources and motivating people for such charitable deeds. Now falak sher smiles with full confidence and gratitude.
