About ITACEC Aisha Foundation USA
Having strong professional background replete with acknowledged philanthropy, Mr. Rashid Bukhari joined hands with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) in 2001 in order to uplift the dissatisfactory existing condition of education in Pakistan. It all began in the summer of 2001 when ITA's Chairperson Baela Raza Jamil visited Houston and met Syed R. Bukhari, the President Education Committee Pakistani Association of Greator Houston on its activities on school improvement or Adopt A School Program through public private partnerships. Since then there has been no looking back. To date Mr. Bukhari has supported 24 schools in Pakistan   11 schools in District Jhang Tehsil Chiniot, 6 in District Nankana, 2 schools in District Lahore and 4 in the rural area of Islamabad Capital Territory ICT for a sum of US $7500 all mobilized through the tireless  efforts of Syed R. Bukhari. The generous support for the improvement of underprivileged communities has been in run down government schools.
Aisha Foundation is a non-profit, non-political, cultural and educational organization of Pakistani-Americans living in the Greater Houston area. The organization strives to provide a forum for artistic, social and cultural expressions of the rich Pakistani heritage. It has a key agenda for human development in education and health sectors. Aisha Foundation is actively supporting ITA-PAK in the building of positive images of Pakistan in the USA and all across the world.

4 schools in the rural areas of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). . (Since the Federal Directorate is extremely responsive to ITA's endeavors for improvement the amount of money has been stretched to 4 schools…)
In 2001 a set of books for support to speaking, reading and writing of English was presented to ITA
In 2002 Mr. Bukhari presented Special Certificates of Honour for exceptional Head teachers… and recently to ITA team for their vigorous efforts.
The residents of Houston privately supported Mochi Gate Girls High School. The efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Salma and Riaz Siddiqui, Mr. and Mrs. Saira R. Aziz and their friends are duly acknowledged for two year support to a middle school for a total of US $7000. The school has also improved by leaps and bounds with one scholar even visiting Washington DC on an iEARN program.
In 2004, PAGH's members comprising an extra-ordinary Pakistani Community has supported the program in a substantial manner along with an emerging chapter ITA CEC Ayesha Foundation Texas, USA. Ayesha Foundation and ITA-PAK are working together to strengthen Pakistani schools and communities. The prime focus of the work is on Social Sector Development (Education, Health, Environment and Rehabilitation).
A record amount of US $ 25000 has been collected to support 15 to 17 schools in the District Jhang (Tehsil Chiniot), Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Nankana District. ITA's Whole School Improvement Program is being implemented in Chiniot with strong community participation and with a dedicated team comprising 1 rep. from ITA and 2 AEOs M/F from Education department to make the difference.
Vigorously representing Pakistani expatriates, Syed R. Bukhari has also donated from time to time smaller amounts for students and school support. All of this has happened with the diligent efforts of Mr. Bukhari, who is a passionate believer in the promotion of Education as the most powerful tool for poverty reduction. ITA salutes him for his untiring endeavors.
